Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 23, 2025
Welcome to The Grandparent Post (https://thegrandparentpost.com), a family-run project created by Fabiana Hickey as part of a student-led college portfolio. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the rules for using our site and services. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Service
We offer custom, personalized children’s books designed for grandparents to connect with their grandchildren. The books are created with your input and shipped to the address you provide. All orders are handled with care by our family team.
2. Eligibility
To use this site and make purchases, you must be 18 or older or have permission from a parent or guardian. All purchases must be made with accurate, up-to-date billing and contact information.
3. Personalization & Uploaded Content
When you upload photos or write messages for your book, you confirm that:
- You have the right to use this content
- It will not infringe on anyone else’s rights
- You allow us to use it only for generating your personalized book
Uploaded photos are stored for up to 14 days after your subscription ends and then permanently deleted. The illustrations created from those photos may be kept as part of our design system.
4. Payments & Billing
All payments are processed securely. You agree to provide accurate billing details and keep them current. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion.
5. Subscriptions & Cancellations
Some of our products are offered as subscriptions. You can cancel at any time—no commitment required. If you cancel after we’ve begun work on a book, you may still be billed for that issue.
6. Refunds
We offer refunds or reprints if your book arrives damaged or contains an error caused by us. Please contact us at hello@thegrandparentpost.com within 7 days of delivery.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important. We only use your personal information to create and deliver your book, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your data with third parties unless required by law.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our site—designs, text, illustrations, and branding—belongs to The Grandparent Post or its licensors. You may not reuse or redistribute our materials without written permission.
9. Service Availability
We do our best to keep the website running smoothly. However, we may pause or change services without notice. We’re not responsible for interruptions beyond our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our products are handcrafted with care, but we can’t guarantee perfection in every case. The Grandparent Post is not liable for incidental or indirect damages from the use of our service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make major changes, we’ll post them here. Continued use of our website after updates means you agree to the new terms.
